Taka's Revenge (タカの
Plot[]
The episode follows up the previous one, where Ryu is still pursuing the Sumekari Tribe, who have kidnapped Ran. At one point, a one-horned dinosaur appears before Ryu and prepares to charge at him. Although Ryu manages to harm the beast, Sumekari tribesmen suddenly appear, led by a man named Taka, and kill the Magoon with spears. Upon seeing Ryu for the first time, Taka takes an immediate dislike in him due to his white skin and orders his men to chase him down, but Ryu manages to escape. Frustrated, Taka orders his men to retreat back to their village. Ryu tails them from behind, which eventually led him to the village where Ran is being held captive. Ryu manages to sneak in and reunite with Ran, but Taka and men suddenly appears, revealing that he had anticipated Ryu would follow them back to rescue Ran. The hunter beats the young boy into submission and just as he was about to finish him off, their leader, Majara, intervenes. Recognizing the young boy's strength and courage, Majara seeks recruit Ryu into his tribe, though Taka strongly disagrees. Without reaching a conclusion, Majara had Ryu imprisoned by being left hanging from a tree upside down. Ran sneaks by and tries to help him, but couldn't. She tells Ryu that his mother is still alive and had passed through the village, searching for him. Majara summons Taka into his hut, the hunter confides in the chieftain that the reason he hated white-skinned men is because they wiped out his old tribe and murdered his parents. In addition, he also wants Ran for himself. It was decided that Ryu would be subjected to a test where he must recover stones for the tribe's arrows, which are located on the slopes of a volcano. As Ryu approaches the crater, the volcano erupts, letting out some lava. Ryu eventually manages to escape and brought the stones back. Ryu is accepted as a member of the tribe, though Taka still continued to hold prejudice towards the white-skin boy. After a great drought had swept across the land, the Sumekari Tribe had decided that they must emigrate. Ryu would like to leave to find his mother, but Taka reminds him that deserting the tribe is punishable by death. Ryu and Ran meet in secret to plan their escape, but Taka overhears this and took them by surprise, seeing this as an excuse to finally kill Ryu himself. Rather than execute Ryu, Taka challenges him to a duel to the death, each of them armed with axes. Taka proves to be the superior fighter and once again beats Ryu. Just as he was about to finish him off, they are interrupted when the Tyranno's arrival, forcing everyone to scatter. Taka fights the Tyranno himself, but was easily beaten by the large dinosaur. Taka survived, but Ryu and Ran both escaped amidst the chaos, vowing to chase them down as long as he lives. Ryu and Ran kept running through the desert to evade danger.
